iphoneHolidaythe holidays kicked off for me at our company Christmas party on December 1, i had fun collecting pieces for my outfit – i opted for plaid, black, spikes and cream to tie all the pieces together!  Ryan is home for the month and we had fun buying everyone presents, some of which we sampled at the Granville Island market (a little Isle of Mull cheddar and Honey & Hay pecorino from Benton Brothers = to die for, and pâté from Oyama Sausage).  Christmas was up in Roberts Creek with my parents and brother this year, so we ferried up with a stash of Holiday beer to enjoy!  Our annual card from Makito was waiting for us up at my parents – it gets better every year Makito!  We were able to visit and open presents with Grandad on Christmas morning and he shared some of his chocolate stash with us!  Boxing day we had breakfast with my in-laws and met Michelle and Chris’ new puppy!  I hope everyone had a safe and relaxing Holiday!  Best wishes for the New Year! xoxo

A friend of mine from school who’s been busy photographing in Toronto asked if I would be interested in contributing to Houzz. I’m always interested in new learning opportunities so I jumped on this! This is my first post on Houzz and I know I have a lot to learn, but I’m very excited!

Anyways, please stop by and have a look! I’m always interested in some constructive criticism too, please don’t hesitate.

My sweet friend Danielle had an extra ticket to the BC Home & Garden Show, so we bundled up against the strong winds and made our way to BC Place Saturday morning!  Jewellery, clothing, shingles, tiles, neat kitchen and cleaning gadgets and plants – it was so invigorating and made me wish spring would come so much faster!  We had lunch in the refurbished food court and i had Vij’s?!  I had a pork curry with yogurt, cilantro and green onion – it was delish!  I bought Ryan and I some air plants to put in glass terrariums in our apartment!  After we wandered the booths, we popped over to the pet store by BC Place and Danielle bought herself a little friend that she’s been wanting for a long time!  Yay adventure! Thanks Danielle, I had a blast!

We had such lovely “spring” weather,  I fit in my weekly runs in the Park, though as usual, Rohe snoozed pretty much all day 😉  I took my new silver bluchers from Zara for a spin and we went to Holt Renfrew to pick up a few things for Ryan!  Ryan and I finally got to try the Roaming Dragon food truck and Ryan got a new job at an architecture firm!  To celebrate we tried Black Truffle Mast Brothers chocolate – earthy, salty with a cacao finish! A great week!

I’ve been working on getting my Etsy store up and running, making and tinkering with some new pieces, Rohebo the cat always helping me out of course, I bought some new little 3″ tropicals for the desk eggs, tried a rich dark Belgian Black beer, made fish tacos with fresh mango salsa, homemade pickled onions and Ryan’s homemade guacamole with Ryan and sis Michelle, and more Etsy work STILL in progress!

Having a home office/studio has been a dream of mine for a long time! Taking inspiration from some fabulous ladies in the fashion industry, I love the idea of an aesthetically simple, yet luxurious and comforting space for creativity to flourish!
