spring 2012 RTW: cool & chic

i do love fall collections, but there’s just something about spring! playing with the idea of renewal, refreshment, the return of the warm weather and lighter fabrics… going for a walk in the fresh spring morning, still not too hot – with lush green shoots sprouting from bulbs and pulling out the clothes that have been hidden in your wardrobe to make room for your heavy coats, long sleeves, scarves and sweaters…

okok we are CURRENTLY in the moody, spicy, colourful early stages of Fall, which i DO love, BUT it can’t hurt to have these images of fresh spring clothing in the backs of our minds too look forward to! 🙂

i really love the use of white and subtle florals in the ChloĂ© spring 2012 RTW collection by Clare Waight Keller.  The turquoise and tan, the light look and feel and flow and cut of the clothes – they make me wish spring was just around the corner…

oh dries, dries, dries… van noten! how cool is belgian designer Dries Van Noten?!  the pattern pairings and the sharp edges and hip cool-girl following… sigh:another cool-girl collection, designed by phoebe philo (with its followers called “philophiles” hehehe) is cĂ©line, and I think this spring 2012 RTW season lived up to its reputation!  fresh whites, pops of bright colour, cool edgy shapes and the end result being a strong, empowered, beautiful, effortlessly chic looking woman! love LOVE cĂ©line:more spring 2012 RTW collections to come! hope you’re having a lovely fall weekend!

    • isn’t it beautiful? i’m loving the idea of a cream blazer over a white shirt, i never would have thought it would look so good! thanks for your comment Jen!
