While grocery shopping a few weeks ago, I spotted a few bunches of these gorgeously fun billy balls (Genus Craspedia) and I snatched them up! I thought pairing them with these adorable baby pink roses and a few sprigs of lavender my mom grew and dried might be a sweet combination! Our living room is a dried flower factory right now with rows and rows of dried baby roses, billy balls and a few other testers I’m trying out! Check out the new design listed now in my Etsy shop!
Ryan recently has perfected our fish tacos by making homemade falafel crunchies! The fish tacos are super simple and really refreshing for a summer dinner! Ryan mashed up chickpeas, add flour, curry powder, salt and lime juice and formed them into little balls and deep fried them in cooking oil until they are browned. We make a simple mango/tomato/cilantro/lime juice salsa, cut up some purple cabbage for crunch and colour and add that to a lightly salt/peppered pan-fried white fish, all wrapped into a soft tortilla with a smear of curry mayo! Yum!

For a a few of you who know me well, hair styling is NOT my thing! Instructions must be simple, product usage must be minimal, so when I came across Joanna Goddard from A Cup of Jo‘s tutorial for a Braided Crown, I thought i’d give it a try! I think it turned out alright, and its a nice quick and simple up-do to free your neck from the summer heat! Joanna has a whole bunch of neat hair tutorials on her blog, check them out for some simple but elegant styles! If I can do it…
This jersey pleated maxi dress from Oak & Fort is one of my favourites for this summer! I picked it up when I was in Edmonton and I wear it every weekend! Ryan and I FINALLY saw Dark Knight Rises on Saturday, so I wanted to be comfy, but still presentable for wandering around Downtown!

A friend of mine from school who's been busy photographing in Toronto asked if I would be interested in contributing to Houzz. I'm always interested in new learning opportunities so I jumped on this! This is my first post on Houzz and I know I have a lot to learn, but I'm very excited!
Anyways, please stop by and have a look!
Sporty chic styling, cool cuts, vibrant colours and crisp whites – BCBG Max Azria Resort 2013 collection is definitely what I’d love to wear on my summer vacation! Relaxed, but still polished, all of these girls could go to the beach, cocktails on the patio and then out for the night! My favourite outfit is definitely the navy slacks with the striped vest and that white oversized clutch would go with everything!!
I’ve been so lucky recently to have worked with some great clients on some neat custom etsy projects! A fun, whimsical natural dried rose crown (with roses my mom dried for me from her own garden) and a gorgeous set of deep purple and cream boutonnieres and corsages for a bridal party! I can’t wait to see the wedding photos of these lovely brides! Thanks so much for working with me ladies! xoxo
Work has been so busy lately, I’m so far behind on posting! A few weekends ago, Ryan, Rohe and I went up to Roberts Creek to visit with Ian brother who flew in from Edmonton! We visited with Grandad (his giggles are still so infectious after almost 95 years), frolicked in Mom and Dad’s beautiful garden (and picked some flowers to dry for my Etsy projects), drank Townsite beer and ate steak by the water and relaxed! My favourite place in the world! Photos 10-14 by Ryan. xoxo
